Langosta Beach is a very well known beach to surfers due to its proximity to the mouth of an estuary. This gives the area a great surf break which attract surfers from the area and who want to get away from the more crowded Tamarindo Beach.
The shoreline is mostly rocky and has a few areas of sandy beach. The surrounding vegetation and wildlife give the beach its charm and perfect location for relaxing under the sun or for a nice walk on the sand.
Playa Langosta offers very nice bed and breakfast lodging as well as beach resort accommodations for reasonable prices. Although mostly peaceful, Playa Langosta can get pretty crowded on the weekends with locals and tourists alike looking for a great spot to unwind.
The area is also gaining popularity among real estate developers who have found this beach to be a great place for exclusive beachfront luxury homes and condos. Its white sand and proximity to the Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia has given the beach a privileged spot among investors and buyers.
