OHMCR The Best Costa Rica Travel Guide

The international organization, Seven Stars and Stripes, has awarded one of Costa Rica’s finest spas with its maximum award.

The Grand Spa, located at the Tabacon Resort in La Fortuna, San Carlos, was recently awarded with the highest distinction presented by the Seven Stars and Stripes Organization.  The Grand Spa received “The Ultimate Award: Seven Stars and Stripes” which bestows them the category of “World Level Perfection”.

The organization gives out the award upon a personal visit to the location in which a staff member will inspect, compare and judge guided by a set of rules and criteria prescribed by the Seven Stars and Stripes organization.

The Grand Spa was able to show its world class level thanks to its exceptional service as well as luxurious installations.  The organization went on to award the Tabacon Hotel with its “6 Stars & 6 Stripes” award in the “Society” category and the Toucan Restaurant with its “5 Stars & 5 Stripes” award in the “Extraordinary” category.

The awards received by the Tabacon Resort are also recognized as the first in Latin America awarded by the Seven Stars and Stripes organization.

Tabacon is located in one of Costa Rica’s most prominent tourist destinations in La Fortuna.  Home to the Arenal Volcano, the Grand Spa uses the minerals and thermal spring waters from the volcano for their treatments.
