TACA Airlines has announced the addition of a new flight route between Tegucigalpa, Honduras and San Jose, Cost Rica that will begin operations this upcoming November 15th.
The non stop flight comes to supply the demand of a direct flight between the two Central American countries in a very convenient schedule. An airline spokesperson mentioned that the flight targets the business traveler that needs to spend a day in Costa Rica in addition to servicing connecting flights to South America.
The TACA flight is scheduled to depart Tegucigalpa at 7:45am to arrive San Jose at 9:30am on a daily basis. The returning flight will depart San Jose at 7:15pm to arrive Tegucigalpa at 9:00pm.

The new fleet of Embraer E190’s will also allow for TACA Airlines to replace its current fleet of ATR’s thus increasing its flight frequencies from 4 to 14 weekly flights. Seating availability will also have its benefits as the new Embraer’s will have a 96 passenger capacity with 8 executive class seats and 88 coach.
