LAS VEGAS, Aug. 15, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) — Oriens Travel & Hotel Management Corp. (Other OTC:OTHM.PK) (http://www.orienscorp.com), an emerging Travel and Hotel Management Company, operating online travel booking site 128trip (http://www.128trip.com) and hotel management subsidiary Hotel PURE (http://www.HotelPURE.com), has initiated the exploration of the possibility of future Hotel PURE locations in Panama.

Hotel PURE has recently received numerous requests from a number of different Hotels in Panama indicating their high level of interests to join the Hotel PURE brand. As a result, the Company has initiated research into the region, to better understand the hotel accommodation market in order to facilitate these requests. Hotel PURE’s current Costa Rican-based operating team will be sent to Panama to make the initial investigation as well as visiting some of these prospective Panama hotel locations, since they are only 30 minutes away by air. Conclusions will be drawn once the head office of Hotel PURE receives all examinations submitted by the investigation team of their findings in Panama.

Panama, known for its famous Panama Canal connecting the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean, currently draws a significant number of tourists to the country. With the facts at hand, Oriens believes adding Hotel PURE locations into Panama will no doubt help boost the image of Hotel PURE brand as well as helping these potential hotel candidates with their international exposure.

Due to the rapidly growing demand of certified medical services by tourists, the Costa Rican government along with the private sector has created a program to meet this demand.

Over the last few years, there has been an important increase in medical tourism mainly from the U.S and Canada. It seems that more and more North Americans tend to search for medical services outside of their countries due to issues such as not having medical insurance or services not covered within their company’s plan.

Costa Rica has seen hundreds of tourists arriving for medical treatments such as plastic surgery and dental work which can be anywhere around 25% to 50% below the rates in the U.S and Canada.

The public and private sector alliance will seek to improve infrastructure and services in order to market these in the U.S and Canada as well as Europe starting August 2008.

The first private clinic to be credited by the U.S Joint Commission International was the Clinica Biblica . The Clinica Catolica and the CIMA Hospital are currently in the accreditation process and will offer medical tourists other alternatives as well.

The Costa Rican tourism influx increases around 6% to 8% annually, while medical tourism alone has increased 15% annually.

The tourist residential projects have found fertile grounds in several of Costa Rica major beaches such as Punta Leona. Punta Leona is a beautiful carefully guarded beach at just 90 minutes from downtown San Jose.

The newest development consists of a 10 building complex each with 10 condominiums. Each condo will have an area of over 2,000 square feet with a clear view of the ocean. Each tower or building will also have a penthouse for the more demanding investor or vacationer.

The investors have paid close attention to the always ecologically conscious locals. They have not only been careful to not destroy the local vegetation, but they have also invested in increasing the vegetation.

Aside from the new condos that will be available in the area, a new marina will be constructed. The design of the marina has been finished and it foresees to hold 252 yachts of different lengths as well as 240 yachts on the dry marina.

Although Costa Rica has a well distributed hotel offer which ranges from cheap and comfortable Costa Rica hotels to the all inclusive resorts, this new condo alternative has already attracted hundreds of vacationers as well as investors.
